Assistant Branch Manager

The Harvard State Bank is currently hiring a full-time Assistant Branch manager for its Oregon branch. The Assistant Branch Manager will be responsible for assisting and supporting the AVP-Retail Market Manager in managing the daily operations of a full-service branch office. This includes the areas of operations, retail, lending, sales, customer service, security, and safety in accordance with the bank’s objectives. The Assistant Branch Manager will work every other Saturday and will be an active participant in the daily operations of the branch office.

Primary Functions and responsibilities:

  • Works in conjunction with the AVP Retail Market Manager with the overall management and administration of the branch, monitoring branch and staff performance to ensure the beach operates in accordance with established policies, procedures, and practices and controls.
  • Implements new products and programs, including sales promotion and incentive programs.
  • Conducts performance appraisals, coaches staff, and performs necessary disciplinary actions.
  • Enforces all policies and procedures.

Retail Operations Specialist

This position combines duties of Teller and Retail Operations at our Rockford branch as defined below.

Expectations:

  • Maintain a pro-active approach and positive attitude with Customers and co-workers
  • Manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information, ensuring it is handled securely and in compliance with Bank policies and procedures
  • Follow established Bank policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of all bank products and services
  • Serve as a liaison and resource for Spanish speaking Customers (preferred, not required)

Teller Duties:

  • Assist Customers in the teller line/drive thru, including but not limited to:
    • Checking and Savings Deposits/Withdrawals
    • Check Cashing
    • Hold Notices
    • Loan Payments
    • Issuance of Personal Money Orders and Cashier’s Checks
    • Cash Advances
    • Redemption of US Savings Bonds
    • Account Transfers
    • Drive License Plate Stickers
    • County Property Tax Payments
    • Identification of Counterfeit Currency

Retail Operations Duties:

  • Assist Customers in person or via phone, including but not limited to:
    • Balance Inquiries
    • Customer Profile Changes (Address/Phone/Email)
    • Dormant Account Research and Maintenance
    • Loan Payoff Inquiries
    • Statement Requests
    • Debit Card Disputes
    • Domestic and International Wire Transfers
    • Stop Payments
    • Transfer of calls to appropriate Bank staff
    • Creation and mailing of CD Interest checks
    • Customer overdraft notifications
    • Mobile deposit review and approval
    • Digital banking support

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Basic knowledge of teller and bank operations or willingness to acquire such knowledge
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work with general supervision

Commercial Loan Processor

The Harvard Sate Bank is currently hiring a full-time Commercial Loan Processor in the Havard Main
Branch. The Commercial Loan Processor position provides administrative support, exceptional customer
service and loan processing/maintenance for the loan department, loan officers, and relationship bankers. The
right person for this position will have excellent customer service skills, knowledge of ComplianceOne
Lending, and familiar with general accounting principles.

Primary Functions and responsibilities:

– Ensure the timely and accurate packaging of all loans.
– Verify all supporting documentation is received.
– Order third party items such as: title work, appraisals, reviews, flood certification, UCC,
and Credit reports.
– Prepare new and renewal loan documentation requests and meet crucial deadlines
– Responsible for post-closing items of loans
– Review and verify completed file after each loan closing to ensure accuracy.
– Follow up on loan exceptions for documents: insurance information, credit reports, final
titles, and recorded documents.

Residential Mortgage Loan Processor

The Harvard Sate Bank is currently hiring a full-time Residential Mortgage Loan Processor in the
Havard Main Branch. The Residential Mortgage Loan Processor will provide exceptional customer
service to all potential Residential Mortgage customers by treating their loan application with the upmost
importance. They will strive to achieve a Clear to Close in the minimal amount of time while keeping
accuracies. The Residential Mortgage Loan Closer will also assist the Mortgage Lender so they can
maintain a steady amount of sales calls.

Primary Functions and responsibilities:

-The main function of the Residential Mortgage Loan Closer is to complete all necessary data
input into the loan documentation software in accordance with regulatory compliance
requirements
– Responsible for ensuring that all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified and complies
with company policies as well as federal and state regulation
– Loan closers are responsible for the accuracy of their documents which includes proper spelling,
referencing appropriate collateral and attention to detail regarding supporting file documentation
– Prepare new loan documentation requests and meet crucial deadlines using the current
documentation software primarily for closing disclosure and back up for initial and re-
disclosures. Involves gathering information, requesting additional documentation and performing
research depending on the complexity – the processing checklists are to be used as a tracking
sheet and guide for processing the file
– Verify loan file documentation including by not limited to the following: clear title work, proper
insurance is in the file and property taxes have been paid for all pieces of collateral
– Responsible for post-closing items of loans, including by not limited to: inputting loan onto core
system, funding, preparing file and documents for barcoding and scanning. Verify information
using file organization checklists.
